Tim Philipp Schäfers is the founder of Mint Secure, an innovative cybersecurity startup specializing in consulting in the field of information and IT security.
As a recognized expert in the field of IT security, he has already published two technical books (“Hacking on the Web” and “Wi-Fi Hacking”) and shares his knowledge as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Business (FHDW) in Paderborn and Bielefeld. In addition, he regularly speaks at conferences and appears in the media on the topics of IT security and hacking.
Schäfers has responsibly reported critical security vulnerabilities at leading companies such as PayPal, Facebook, Google, and Deutsche Telekom, and was honored in 2017 as a Junior Fellow of the German Informatics Society (GI). As a lifetime member of the Open Worldwide Application Security Project (OWASP), he is actively committed to promoting secure software development and aims to raise awareness of cybersecurity.
Before founding Mint Secure in early 2025, he had already worked for over 10 years as a freelancer in the field of IT security, served as CISO at a DAX subsidiary, and led the cybersecurity team at a large German family-owned company. In addition, he holds numerous certifications in IT security, as well as a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business informatics (specialization: cybersecurity).
